What changed from v1 to v2
Version 1 primarily delivered a working CMS setup for concrete websites. Version 2 separates the core from extensions more clearly, makes content easier to validate and creates a stable base for future customer and partner projects.
- Plugin system with lifecycle handling, activation, deactivation, ownership and isolated plugin repositories.
- Theme system with activatable themes, multilingual descriptions and clean frontend integration.
- Migration of existing v1 content including pages, media, redirects, navigation and search index.

Editorial teams should not be blocked by code changes when content, slugs, SEO data, social cards or media need to change. ForgeOneCMS v2 therefore validates more inside the CMS itself and updates dependent areas such as URLs, media references and frontend caches more deliberately.
