Data Centers & Locations
ForgeOne operates production managed infrastructure in Falkenstein at Hetzner FSN1. In Vienna, we use local systems for development, testing and internal operations tasks.
If you are planning infrastructure or changing existing systems, we help clarify location, operations, monitoring, backup and responsibilities.

Data center location
What this means for customers
Operations with clear location context
For managed-server and platform environments, we use Falkenstein as the production location. This makes operations, backup, monitoring and responsibilities easier to plan clearly.
Better decisions before implementation
Not every environment belongs in the same operating model. We clarify early whether a data center, on-premises, private cloud or hybrid approach fits.
How we operate our infrastructure
For us, reliable infrastructure operations mean more than monitoring individual servers. The operations and monitoring infrastructure itself also needs to be observable.
Central monitoring components monitor operated systems and also check each other for reachability. This practical operations experience feeds into our managed-server and managed-platform environments.
Operating models for your infrastructure
We do not choose the location by gut feeling, but based on operations, access, data, backup and cost.
On-premises
Systems run at the customer site. ForgeOne supports setup, automation and operations.
Dedicated / hosted
Dedicated infrastructure runs with a suitable hosting or data center provider.
Private cloud
An isolated platform for workloads that need control and clear operational boundaries.
Hybrid
Local systems and external infrastructure are combined intentionally.
Backup / recovery
Backups and recovery are planned separately from production operations.
Location alone is not enough
The server location matters, but it is not the whole answer. A reliable setup also depends on administrative access, encryption, backup location, responsibilities and the operating model.
A location in Austria or Germany does not replace legal or regulatory review and is not an automatic compliance promise.
What infrastructure we operate
Location questions usually appear when systems need to be operated reliably over time.
Linux / Enterprise Linux
Server operations, updates and automation.
Private cloud / Proxmox
Virtualization, storage and networking.
Kubernetes
Clusters, ingress, certificates and storage.
Collaboration
Groupware, files, chat and office platforms.
Backup / recovery
Backups, restore tests and recovery.
Monitoring / identity
Monitoring, login, SSO and central services.
